The “Abode of Lord Kedar” or “Kedar Khand” location is known as Shri Kedarnath Dham, and it is very important both spiritually and historically. The stunning scenery of the Shri Kedarnath Dham temple, which is surrounded by snow-capped mountains and beautiful valleys with meadows, draws tourists from all over the world in addition to devoted pilgrims. Situated in Uttarakhand, roughly 223 kilometres from Rishikesh, and rising to an altitude of more than 3,583 metres (11,755 feet) above sea level, this temple is the tallest of the 12 Jyotirlingas in India. It is located in the Garhwal area of the Himalayas, near the meeting point of the Mandakini and Saraswati Rivers.
Since there is no road leading to the temple, one must make the arduous 16-kilometer ascent from Gaurikund. Alternatively, porters and ponies are hired to help pilgrims. Helicopter
